Lot-O-Pines Rosemary at 4 yearsRosemary has been a standout from the beginning. She didn't wait for someone to pose her for the camera; she posed herself. We are hoping to add that style into our herd. She is line-bred on Atlast and has that nice back and rump he throws. She did very well on both of her young appraisals and has scored a V or Ec in every structural category between the two years. Her dam Delight has matured with an excellent beautiful udder, so we are glad to have Rosemary.
2012 Update: Rosemary has had a very stable lactation curve peaking with almost 6# at 114 days. With 4 generations of Superior Genetics behind her on her dam's side she has a lot of promise.
2014 Update: Rosemary has blossomed into a lovely doe. A beautiful deep-bodied doe, she peaked at 11.6 lbs. and has been on our dairy string the past two years. We showed her at the NEWDGA show, and she was awarded Reserve Champion. We are retaining her son, Valerian, as one of our new Jr. hersires.
2015 Update: Rosemary finally gave us the doeling we have been trying to get for years, who we properly named Merry Sweet Thyme. She is getting older now and we are thrilled to have a daughter out of this doe. She is a very solid doe structurally scoring E or V in all structural categories!!!
General Update: Though we sold Rosemary in fall of 2016 she will be fondly remembered and contiues continues to live on in our herd through her many decadence.
