Royal Highlands Bloodlines

Partly for our own information, and partly for anyone else's curiosity, we have compiled a complete list of all bloodlines that are within the first 5 generations of our goat's pedigrees. They are listed in the order of prominence.

We have developed a scoring system that gives 5 points for the animal's own herd name, 4 points for parent's herd, 3 points for grandparents, etc. Then we add 1 additional point for each animal in which the herd name appears, meaning that names which are widespread in our herd rank higher than a name confined to one or two animals.
